INDIVIDUAL THERAPY and COUNSELING
Individual Counseling Services are provided by a therapist (doctorate level, licensed professional counselor, licensed clincial social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, psychologist , psychiatrist, or master level intern) and consists of a minimum of 12 weekly sessions for one hour per individual that focus on the presenting problem that was the reason the individual sought individual therapy. All clients establish a treatment and discharge plan with their therapist that identifies concerns to be addressed throughout the individual counseling sessions.
Individual Therapy focuses on problems and/or concerns related to the client’s mental health issues to include emotional distress, bereavement, depression, anxiety, parent-child relationships, stress management, coping skills, co-occurring mental health issues that involve chemical dependency, co-dependency, anger management issues, domestic violence issues, relationship problems (family, marriage, sibling, co-worker), financial problems, trauma, intimacy, and, other life problem areas/issues.
