DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM
The Domestic Violence Program, which is 18 sessions in length, is designed to teach participants how to handle conflict, how to de-escalate stressful situations, and how to develop healthy relationship skills through improved communication. This program is provided by Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC's), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW's) or Master's Level Clinicians.
Participants are educated on belief systems about relationships and encouraged to make changes. These attitude and belief changes are pivotal in the prevention of further violent acts. Participants are taught conflict resolutions skills and are encouraged to practice the techniques learned. Also, included in the Domestic Violence Program is battering intervention which promotes safety for victims and brings about the social change necessary to end battering and all other forms of relationship abuse. The program follows BIPP, Battering Intervention & Prevention Program, guidelines and is gender specific. The cost of the Domestic Violence Program is $540.00, payable at registration, or $30.00 each session.
